I am experiencing the motor cutting out under braking at junctions, had the codes read , nothing, all previous codes erased but still experiencing the problem, it is no big issue but detracts from an otherwise excellent bit of kit. Anyone advise?

My first thought would be to look at the fuelling. This kind of issue is often associated with over weak fuelling to comply with emissions regs. Enriching the fuelling slightly may be all that's needed.

I'm with @Posh Pete 's analysis.

Many bikes of that era suffer much the same - if you cruise up to a junction, the fuelling will lean back, so that when you think about pulling away the bike stalls. All it needs is a quick blip of the throttle to persuade the ECU out of ECO mode lethargy in my experience.

Beyond that, I guess leaks in the exhaust system, an exhaust can/air filter change might lead to confused fuelling - is the bike in standard trim?

Has this just started happening recently?
What are your fuel levels at the time?
What is ambient temp when this happens?

Fuel pumps on the 800`s produce quirky results when approaching failure.

As its fuel injected what's to do to enrich the fuel?

Inspect the idle air hoses for cracks or looseness at the connections. Inspect the idle air valve and clean if needed. Reset adaptations.

Hi Reg
On my 800GSs I used the booster plug and it cured the stallin

Check the balance pipe between the two throttle bodies. Mine had split at one end and was sucking in a lot of air which caused several odd issues.
