My indicators died a few months back.
It's a 04 F650 GS, so that's a single cylinder, dual spark, non canbus bike.
Neither right nor left works, front or back.
I had made some changes, so I know I'm sort on my own but I like to know what I can troubleshoot.
LED indicators, with a new flasher unit.
LED "bulb" on the dash.
Bridge rectifier mod on the dash bulb to get it to work with a LED.
They did work for a few months.
I did try changing the flasher unit (cheap Chinese crap replaced with the same) but no joy.
The switch on the handle bars seems fine, as I did short out the terminals and still no light.
The yellow relays that live under the flasher unit appear to be fine. From what I understand, 2 are for the indicators and one is for the fuel pump.
I swapped one for the indicator and the one for the fuel pump, and the fuel pump still works, so I do think the yellow relays are fine.
There's just 1 fuse for the dash that also controls indicators? If so, that fuse is fine.
My bridge rectifier circuit may have failed, but would a fault on the dash light stop the indicators working?
Is there anything else that has failed on you before?
