hi there im thinking of bying a f650 to get to work on 32 mile round trip all Aroads.my cbr600 was to tempting to sit at 100+ all the time and thirsty at that speed,cheers

do it!!! people on here seem to love the big ones but i have not long owned a 53 plate dakar and its brilliant i use it for everything just returned from a long weekend in france 2up no problem and i havent dropped under 70mpg since ive owned it my only complaint is ive gotten so used to the upright comfy riding position my zx7r feels strange and takes some getting used to again but i cant blame the bike for that really can i!

had the old f650 for years, one of the best !!!!im sellin it now, solely because i need room, nothing else

Sounds like an F650 would suit your commute perfectly
