Just bought my F800 and it is getting delivered today.

So now I have to sort the bike.

I want to upgrade the suspension - two reasons

1. Springs will need upgrading for my weight

2. Want better setup for rougher roads -especially front end.

I have done some searching resulting in Wilbers or Hypro being the usual way of improvement.

My next thought is the ESA - it seems a bit of a waste of time on a F800 and could compromise the selection of rear shock.

So has anyone just unplugged and replaced - any issues.

Touratech looks ok - but it will not be from UK (and is still expensive) but does give full adjustment.

I am talking about an adventure based bike.

Are we talking about a post 2012 bike with the mention of ESA ?
I've had a 2010 800GS and my current bike is the 2013 with the ESA, the 2013 version sorted all the problems in the suspension of it's predecessor.

It works faultlessly for me, and wouldn't think of swapping it.

yes it is a post 2013 bike

thanks for that info

I fitted hyperpro standard height front fork springs/oil to my 2013 f800gs to reduce fork dive and a feeling of corkscrew yawing on long sweeping bends with uneven surface. My intention was to then progress to fitting a hyperpro spring to the rear esa. I'm not going to bother with that as the fork springs have proved to be an effective modification and all that was necessary.
Also a complete doddle to fit.

Decided to get the Touratech suspension - the Cartridge forks and the Plug/Play ESA kit.

Tried Touratech UK to discuss costs and got some bullshit guy talking about import costs , postage etc. He suggested I send an email to Nick Plumb - so I have

Told the guy - there are no import costs from Europe and postage is 40Euro.

Anyway - bought from Germany got them shipped to UK with a saving of £800.

I was up at Torque Racing collecting KTM engine and via discussions was informed that Torque racing are the official service agents for Tractive suspension in the UK.

and they can import Tractive / Touratech suspension at 'normal' prices.

Apparantly Touratech UK are not capable to servicing the suspension that they sell and Tractive want a worldwide service network.
