F800 questions

Roy - not sure you'll find the standard seat holds up its comfort over time. I Found the limit was about 45 mins before it got painful and I got sick of it after 3 weeks. I bought a Sargent Enduro - not cheap (£373 - www.sargentcycle.co.uk) but miles better than the stock seat. There's also the option of a two-tier seat - bit like BMW's comfort seat just a lot better. If this is a bit steep for you then I can also recommend the Airhawk which I've used in the past (about £110).

On the indicator cancel combined with very responsive (aka "twitchy") throttle, got to agree with others - better to have something that keeps you concentrating :) - I also spent the first several weeks hanging on for grim death as the bike shot forward as I tried to turn the blinkers off but I never even notice it now.

Thanks for all replies and now I have some guidance for my winter retail therapy! May try to get a ride on a standard seat to experience the difference (if any).
Regarding the indicator cancel button I don't disagree with the points made - it can be compensated for, and I'm sure it focuses the mind. I just don't think it's good design. Many road testers have complained about it, and it must be a known issue for BMW. I suspect that having tooled up to produce it they just can't change the design without significant costs. At least nowadays it cancels automatically subject to a time/distance formula.
Otherwise it's a great bike, and now that I've got my lube-tube I don't even have to top up the scottoiler so often!
