After extensive trials & testing Stahlkoffer has now commenced full production of panniers & frames for the new F800GS.
Both panniers & frames come fully powder-coated in a selection of different colours (gun-metal/silver/black/grey etc).
They are available at a very keen price & we don't think you will be disappointed.
Check out the website (www.stahlkoffer.com) & view photos sent in by customers who have already taken delivery of Stahlkoffer pannier products.
Stahlkoffer already produces panniers & frames for the R1200/1150/1100 & F650 range.

I can vouch for these, they look great i think and the price, well, ive had H&B, BMW and TT panniers in the past and these fellas are just sensible boxes at a sensible no mortgage inducing price. Heres my 800 with them. So thumbs up from me. :thumb2 PLus the price includes the frames so you don't need another manufacturers kit and a fitting kit from somewhere else. All in one as they say. They even do a TTesque luggage rack for a snip of the TT price (just like the one shown)

Good looking panniers and they seem to be a reasonable price.
Are the frames easy to remove or do they have to remain on the bike when you are not using the panniers?

They are about as easy to remove as anything else. Putting them back on however takes the time, havent had to, neither will i be doing so, leave em on is the key. I remember taking some Touratat ones of another bike took me bleedin ages to get them lined up again after.

Alternative colour

...and here they are in a sexy black alternative;

This is the first set of panniers I've ever had (First BMW as well:thumb2) and after looking into the {:eek:expensive:eek:} alternatives these really fit the bill. I was only after a set of panniers that I would use once, maybe twice at best a year. IMHO I think they look the dogs danglies and will probably leave them on most of the time as I've now filled them with man stuff and the mandatory BMW running repair regalia.

Also, no problems with getting on and off the bike with the bags on - and I wear MX boots which can be hard to steer at the best of times so...

In short, a good - well thought out product at the right price especially in these tough economic times.

Recommended :clap

Seem to remember mine measure about 980mm across the rear , which i think you will find is on the 'smaller' option side compared to other brands. I'm guessing that a cutout option would be more expensive, i dont see the point really, they are about 20mm wider than the bars and for what you gain, personally i cant see that that's worth the extra dosh it'd probably be. Of course you could always re-mortgage and get the TT cutout ones for that extra 20mm and a few litres more capacity. ;)
