F800gs canbus problem

Hi chaps, fitted my zumo canbus charger last night and its drained my battery overnight. I just tried plugging my zumo in and it charged even without me touching the ignition. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as I thought the canbus system was supposed to disconnect a few mins after ignition turn off

If you've used the connector under the dummy tank by the battery, then yes it is supposed to turn off after a few minutes. However, there can be issues if you leave the zumo on the bike at the same time as a canbus battery charger.

the box that converts the 12v to 5v on the garmin power lead is tricking the canbus into staying open hence the flat battery, ive wired it directly to the battery and touch wood so far its ok.
