f800gs number of alarm key fobs/remote

hello
i am in the process of buying a second hand f800gs that has an factory oem alarm installed as an optional extra.
how many alarm remotes/fobs should come with the bike please?

i am sure the owner should give me three keys but do not know if there should be extra spare alarm remotes/fobs.

I retro fitted an OEM alarm to my F800 ST and it came with two remotes.

You won't always get 3 keys.

When I bought my F800GS, only one metal and one plastic key were supplied with the bike; BMW were trying to economise (or something).

Within a matter of months (IIRC) they decided to supply 2 metal keys as previously, due, I believe, to customer complaints about this practise. They also (unknown to me) would supply an extra metal key to all those owners who'd only had one.

I eventually found out about this generous giveaway, but only after they'd stopped doing it - hence if I wanted a second key, I'd have to pay for it.

So I've only ever had two keys with mine, and there will probably be a few others in the same position as me.

I`d heard it depends how many keys the dealer ask`s for?
When I picked up my ex-demo bike I got two metal & one plastic key plus a fob to reprogramme keys
