I have an F800GS with the low seat. At 5'10" I am still not getting my feet flat on the road at traffic lights etc, if I lean a little I get one foot down. I dont need much but a little would help. Any further adjustments I can make to get me down another 1"???

Dont we all need an extra inch!!!!!Anyway a couple of options,TT do a low seat which i use,im 5ft 7" on a good day and can get my toe, ball of feet down,so at 5ft 10 you would have no problems with your feet,i have traveled 630 mile in one day with the low seat and had no issues,i do know some guys have a comfort problem with the BM low seat, another method is to add an inch to your riding footwear!Looks a bit wierd but it works,i prefer to use the slide one arse cheek of if i want one full flat on the floor.

I'm 5'7" with the low seat. I get either my toes down or one foot flat footed. I just shift around accordingly. Is it really necessary to have both feet flat footed?

I hear Patsy Quick cant touch the ground at all on her Dakar bike :augie

Thanks for the replies. I used to ride a F650GS where I got used to both feet down. It just take a bit more getting used to plus the dip in the front when you brake. Otherwise its all good! :thumb

Raise the forks through the triple clamps, or a 19" front wheel?

So you can fit a 19" wheel on an F800GS? Will that not change the overall feel, look of the bike? Sounds like a good option to me but I am no expert. Any other comments on this?

You can. It was actualy my sly attempt to slip it in this thread as I have one up for sale. Its an original F800GS hub that has been laced to a 19" rim. I havent seen one in the flesh, I have seen a 17" motard version. Woody's wheelworks indicated the 19" would make the bike more road worthy than dirt worthy (hence similar to the 650twin), and lower the bike around 3/4" in the seat. Woodys has done a few 19" rims from what I hear laced to the original hub, mine hub came off a used bike. I decided Im going to stick with the 21" so no longer need the 19" (never fitted).

If you've tried all the other suggestions try a pair of Daytona M Star GTX boots, they have an internal sole which gives you an extra inch and cannot be seen from the outside.Great boots, they have been making them for us girlies for a while now.
