Hi to all,

I have noticed that BMW periodically release a special/limited edition bike. Ie. Trophy/30 Years

Is this done annually or does it just coincide with an event?

If so is there a particular date that it happens?

I realise theres a big opening for sarcastic replies :):) Again thanks in advance for your help.

Whenever BMW fancy charging a premium they release a few bikes with the colour and plastics they should have had as standard.

I've been looking at an 800. Do you have any more info

My sources indicate that a basic black 800 is taken off the production line and subjected to the artistic interpretation of a 80's London despatch rider.
Fortunately BMW Fabrik mask the clocks and lights to meet EU regs.

I have no more info at this time.

Is it the basic metallic black or the more basic matt finish. Do you think I would be able to order a combination of the two. :beerjug:

Hi Paul,

Ok the 30 year one that's not an annually thing :blast more of a land mark :thumb2

To be honest you will find that the F800 special editions are first launched in the 1200's as it is of course the flag ship (mothership) and then they follow with the F800's

So your question is best asked, posted in the 12 hunner section, in fact it's most likely right up there alley I think there may be a anal version on it's way but I'm not sure :nenau :thumb2:D

Will keep an eye out, im not in a rush to get one, but as a bloke even when we don't need it.....we get it because we want it!

I will ask for you then, watch this space :D

Dean,

Thanks for asking the 'big boys' in the 12's, last time I went over they took my dinner money:tears

My idea behind it was to see if any special edition had the farkles I was going to get in an attempt to save some cash.
On thinking about it I don't think my patience will last that long and I'll end up getting one soon!

By the way V8legend that's an awesome smilie :thumb

Hi Paul,

No problem they need the extra dinner money for the pies :blast but its ok Micky F8 rider is often giving them a wedgie when there looking the other way

You could do very well by actualy subscribing, you get a fair few good as new (well looked after) in the for sale pictures, listing of the goodies and you can pm any questions you may have for £12 you could pick your self up a cracker, and or those important Farkles.

Good luck in your search F800GS is a great bike :thumb2:D :beerjug:
