F800GS water leak?

Has anyone else experienced a leak from there hole ?

I just came back from a 5 day 1871 mile bimble in France and on the train back noticed the leakage.


As you can see the blue jelly like substance that I assume is congealed coolant has oozed from the hole. right hand side under the pump.............

I assume everyone has a hole?

Anyone any ideas why, what, how ?







I had no over heating problems, although it was ridden a couple of times like it was Stolen, have cleaned the bike since at it has not returned after a short ride.

agreed looks like the same on the F650 singles when their pump seals go west

Thanks for letting me know what the issue is


I have researched it and its been a long standing issue, partly recognised by BMW never had it on my f650 twin...

2013 on - bikes have an updated design.

Ahh, if only you had kept your 650................
