I posted on ADVrider too, but figured it would not hurt to ask here also.

My 2010 F800GS starts to run very rough (sounds like it running way too rich) during warm-up. This does not happen when the air temp. is rather cold, but starts when the air temp is summer-like. About 1 minute into a warm-up it starts to run very rough, sometimes to the point of stalling, other times it gets over it and continues to warm up. Its not a problem when the engine is completely warmed up. It looks like its is only during a narrow temp. range during warm-up that it does this. I don't think it is the gas, because I have filled at several different locations, and it does not seem to affect this. Have any of you had this problem, or something similar?

I don't think that you should worry about it... I have a F650GS twin (2011) and considering that we have the same type of machine .. i have the same rough noise when worming up.. i suppose when you have clutch hit the noise is more normal....

My 2010 model started bogging down when first started and had to blip throttle to stop it stalling, it would sometimes bog down anfter a few hundred yards and then clear itself, after it did it with the engine hot I took it to dealers, turned out that the lambda sensor had failed.

Interesting. I'll at least check the oxygen sensor visually and check the oxygen sensor plug. Thanks for the onfo.

my solution ..

We had the same "problem" ( 2 650ties), uneven tickover at cold start, and easy to stall when riding off. Warm much better. But after fitting accellerator module and Iridium plugs a whole different behavior, a happy and regular hum after starting, and good engine pickup riding away. It improved even more after installing K&N air filters. You just feel that the machine can breathe freely now. It feels as the very good rotax engine finally reaches the potential it was supposed to have. Also less vibration, and it just keeps pulling and pulling without any effort. Another big advantage is that now you can ride with lower revs, nice if you roll through a small town and want to look around, it runs smoothly till 1500r/m, and pulls away from there without protesting. I had it on the dyno after that and it reached 205 kms/h.
So, don't take my word for it, try it out yourself! Big improvement with little money. greets, hans :)
