Facebook/iPad glitch

Not a major problem, just a bit irritating, that's all: when on Facebook sometimes the screen goes blank and in a second or two it reverts to the startup screen- you know- the screen that comes up when you first switch the iPad on. To get back to Facebook all I have to do is simply tap the Safari button and it goes back to the same place it was at when it went off.

Is there a fix, or am I doing something wrong?

Safari issue?? no idea, but it can be flaky

But load the FB app - it works better

Sounds more like a Facebook issue than Safari. Is it just Facebook that closes it?

are you on the latest version of iOS, as what you describe sounds a bit like the widespread "springboard reset" issue that iOS suffered from until quite recently?

No, I'm not, actually. i was told not to update to the latest version because of some unresolved problems with it. Ermm- no idea, before you ask.

i'd be inclined to update then, as i don't know of any issues with iOS7.1, but i do know it fixes the springboard issue

not saying there aren't any, but we have 3 idevices here, all on 7.1 with no problems.

As newboy said, load the Facebook app, then you don't have to go into Safari

The Facebook app will work better with iOS 7.1 installed.
