I've recently started having problems with Google on my iPad. Not Chrome, just normal Google which is my default search engine.
It freezes, and will not unfreeze. I can sometimes type in an address and the return key is completely unresponsive and the whole screen freezes. This doesn't happen on my iPhone or PC, just my iPad.
I've had to resort to using Google Chrome as my search engine which seems to work fine.
I've cleared my cache, uninstalled Google and re installed which fixes it for about a dozen uses then freezes again.
Turning the iPad off and restarting doesn't clear the problem. I also have plenty of memory left on the iPad.
What more can I do?
Thanks for any advice.

Have you had a recent update? Wifey having issues with google on her iPad.
Could be.
I did notice on a search online about my issue that a recent update could be the cause of the problem. Wifey who has the same iPad has no issues!

I’m having exactly the same issue with my iPhone, interestingly my iPad is fine. Did you get any further with this?

No.
I cleaned my iPad back to factory reset and reloaded everything. Still got the issue with Google but not Chrome.

Ok, thanks, it’s bit frustrating but hopefully we’ll get a resolution on it.

I'm having issues with Safari and Google on my MacBook air, quite often freezes and the only thing I can do is instigate a restart. But no issues with Safari and google on my iPad or iPhone. Google Chrome works fine on the MacBook as a browser, but is resource hungry and as my MacBook is older, the fan quite often goes into overdrive.
