Failure to display ticket on dashboard, help

Hi guys,

I really need some advice about car parking charges on a hospital site.

I park in the same spot every week day on my GS, never had any problems.

Today I receive a parking ticket because I failed to display a 'pay and display’ ticket on my bike!

I was informed latter that all motorbikes must display a ticket, even those in the motorbike parking.

How should I tackle this in my letter to the company?

Help, thanks in advance and have a beer on me.

Its not the council but a private company operating on behalf of the NHS trust.

I am currently fighting parkingeye, though there has been plenty of others, though not had a letter for a few weeks, maybe I should park in Aldi again

www.pepipoo.com is also good for this sort of scam. As a private company they have no power to fine you.

I was under the impression that NHS hospitals in Wales had scrapped car parking charges a la Scotland?! Anyway, if the letter says dashboard the response should be that you don't have one methinks...

Yes, they have scrapped charges at most places but Vinci park at UHW are still in charge until their contract runs out..which is not in the near future.

I have to park on site for work (its residents parking outside of the site anyway), so I don't want to start getting a ticket every day nor do I want to pay.

The tickets are the single 'pay and display' type which the expect me to just stick on my GS. It would just blow away or get nicked anyway! Where has common sense gone!

I thought I better ask about getting tickets for the bikes, which we had not bought and they said "Nah! People would nick 'em".

Bravo North Tyneside County Council.
