Farkle development including the front crud

Ha - intake guards - forgot thosw quthin minutes..... btw the two designs I did for you took over four hour hours ffs god you owe me

Well you will find out how much wine I can fit in the panniers now then!

I am really looking forward to seeing the deflector and I am very sorry for mentioning the air intake guards on here, seems like you have a bit more work on when your hangover subsides. :D

Soz, was mashed

Soz guys, I got mashed last night :blast and even though I do feel strongly about what I do we certainly don`t want it ramming down our throats so a big sorry for the demented ramblings last night - I`m a tw*t when I`ve had too much wine (I`m a twat anyway :D) so I`m sorry for that.

Anyway, onto stuff of discussion - the deflectors are getting made this morning when I finally get my rotting carcass into work, if they ain`t quite right I can`t expect anyone to part with hard earned cash for them and production will seep into next week after I`ve bought some more shiny stainless.

The air intake cover has only been mentioned in pm`s but I`m hoping to design something soon and it will have the same design on it as the rad covers which have been thankfully well received.

The four hour design time (actually it was longer than that......) was following a request from a fellow tosser and won`t be anything I will be seeking everyone's input on as `client confidentiality` really does apply here. Shame because if it does work it will prove to be one of the most intricate bits of work I have possibly ever done!

Somebody asked for some pannier frames in red - can you contact me as they are ready pal - no worries if you have changed your mind :thumb2

Right, off to take the dog out for a walk to clear my mind...........(not the easiest of things to do)

Yes mate - please contact me before travelling as I don`t want you to have a wasted journey and I hope to have something else to show you too. All depends how I get on today, its been one of the hardest things I`ve done!

And I`m still telling everyone about the `tardis top box` and the 6 bottles of wine.....

Thought we'd done a deal on the frame plugs I made you :blast

Ah yes of course - sorry - not only do I not have the brains I was born with but add onto that I don't look after the admin (so I don't know who is buying or paid for what) and then I have little chance of tying elvisto up with graham who kindly made the frame bungs for me!

Ha ha ha ha there's no bloody hope for me at times - I've actually got your name and address sellotaped to my monitor at work to remind me to send them

Good luck with the parts, geezer, I took a look the other day at the site and thought they were well impressive. Let me know if there is anything I can help with :thumb

:D:D:D:D you sound a deal better and not so maudlin this morning mark:thumb

dont mix wine with posting :P:P

Mark I've pm,d you
Some of us live too far away to drop in , why don't you start a Direct debit wine bank:friday:jager:ChrisKelly

:flag

Fantastic idea :thumb

A long long time ago people paid for goods and services with chickens etc so why not wine? I could be in the Great Vineyard in the Sky within weeks :D

Well after seeing that, then I think I might well be making a rather large contribution!

No need but a few words posted explaining that I`d been somewhat preoccupied with a very intense project might not go amiss - it might even get nutty off my back (only joking nuts :D)

Shame it can`t be shown eh, serious work there..............

Well, like a few people, I didn't want to go down "The Persian" route with the deflector so I asked Mark if he might be able to incorporate something special for me.

I sent through an illustration of what I wanted, although to be fair I did expect it to be somewhat simplified.

Mark sent me a message today with what he has come up with. It is, a very precise rendition of what I asked for - actually left me rather flabbergasted.

I have absolutely no problem, Mark, with you showing what you have done - it is not "a secret" and even if the people on here don't quite know what it means I am sure they would appreciate the detail and workmanship.

Being particularly inept at pretty much everything, I love to see a craftsman at the top of their game, as it were.

I would expect to pay top money for the work you have done for me, so as you refuse to charge me directly for your time, I have come up with a cunning plan which I am sure you will appreciate (and it isn't just wine!)

So post it on here, with the air intake guards too, and let others appreciate your genius too!

Cheers mate, very very much appreciated! :beerjug:

Benhur has allowed me to publish this, I`m pleased he has as it represents possibly the best I can do - transfer this capability onto our beloved bikes and I hope to be able to do a decent job.

As I eluded to, its got nothing to do with the LC, rather a job commissioned by a new found friend and has been done from a simple `paper` drawing.

It might not look as intricate as the rad covers but not being the sharpest pencil in the case I can assure everyone that to get the absolute accuracy to within 0.01mm (otherwise it didn`t look right to the eye) I had to spend considerable time doing it. Also and with the control needed for such fine detail my older laser profiler (albeit one of the best) would have simply obliterated the fine detail - I had to use the new Trumpf to be able to do this with its amazing control of a laser beam.

If only I was brighter I could have done it in half the time and spent the rest of the time drinking...................:bounce1

Anyway my thanks to benhur for lowing me to `show off` my work - I`m proud of it and I hope I am allowed this small indulgence :roll

And btw what's the Persian route?

And btw I`ve only just started the air intake guards (but don't tell nuts)
