I've fitted a pair of Fastway foot pegs to an 1150 ADV , i used the search and printed out the pictures posted , ( thanks Whatton ) . Every thing went really easy and now their on , however i was wondering if you have to fit the studs on or can you leave them in the box ? Will the peg be to slippy without them or has anyone fitted a rubber cover or similar ? TIA , James . :thumb

What I did was bought another set of BMW footpeg rubbers (about £12, I think) and pushed these into the Fastway footpegs. This gives you a wide, damped area on which to sit your feet for normal road-riding, with the added advantage of being able to quickly push them out if you're tackling anything off-road... then you get the superb grip of the studs, even when wet and muddy. It really makes a difference off-road... having the confidence of knowing that your feet aren't going to slip off the pegs at a crucial stage. The wide pegs also give so much more 'feel'.

I've put the short at the front and long at the back and might try the rubber pieces later .

:beerjug: James .
You'll need the studs in James for all the off roading we're going to be doing on our trip to morocco  nothing worse than wet muddy boots slipping about on the pegs :D
