Hi All im sure this has probably been discussed before, but my old r1100gs has higher foot pegs then standard, i never noticed before now previous owner must have changed them. Anyway id like to go back to standard height or preferably get some slightly lower, I seem to read other model pegs fit if so which one? as i may just pick up some cheap second hand ones just to try for fit, i like adjustable but some are either £120 or £40 from cheap sites which i never really trust things like that with taking my weight. so yeah trying to find a balance between fitting and spending anyway just thought id just it out there if anyone has some advice or links so decent stuff. Cheers all happy riding

Ha you just messaged me 5 mins after i ordered some of the sw motech ones from sports bije shop, i did see those on ebay, they were a bit deep for me, glad to hear quality is good sometimes ive ordered stuff off ebay and the machining is terrible.right game time 👍👍

Why are the simple things always the hardest....had my footpegs arrive today, thought ill nip in garage an swap them over. So in a perfect world split pin out, slid pin out fit new bracket....no my pins have swelled up and a solid, not a little bit stuck i mean welded in to the aluminium foot plate, had this with my old harley side stand and it.was a battle to cut it all out. So.any advice? Its soaking in penetrating oil.but that would do much for expanded metal due to rust, i always worry about using heat on ali would that still be an idea.

Aluminium corrosion is a bastard.
You can’t even heat it up because it tends to melt.
Best keep covering it in the best penetrating spray you can get.

I gave it a heating but onnthe foot peg pin with the peg held up then sprayed with penetrating oil and it sucked in to hits and she popped what a lovely feeling that is friday brucey bonus 🤣
