I'm having some alloy wheel stripped and powder coated because there are signs of corrosion under the paint. I've seen what damage can be done if it's allowed to rot so having them chemical stripped then powder coated in gloss black. The BMW paint is too tough for the enamellers to shot blast it off.

I've also decided to do the GSA crash bars. They are OK, but a few areas (esp around joints and screw heads) are showing signs of trouble.

One of the top central connecting tube end bolts was really tough to remove.

The RHS bolt is bad enough but its 5 years old and hidden away. The LHS is altogether different. It looks like central heating sludge so maybe the tube has filled with water and sits over the bolt when the bike is parked on side stand. What shame I never thought about drilling drain holes before I took the parts in for coating.
