Fastway footpegs missing shims?

Having followed the instructions, it appears that there are not enough shims to being the pegs up to horizontal, let alone slightly up .

Has anyone else had this problem and did they find a use for the two thicker washer-thingies for which there were no instructions (no they are not additional shims - wrong size!)

I think the thicker things are for banging the bits apart again should you need to, although I thought I had one of those. Although there are two thickness of shim washers.

Possu came up with the idea of dispensing with the washers and using a suitably size nut to do the same job. I did that and they were horizontal right way without all the washer nonsense. Cant remember the size nut but it was one I had to hand from B&Q or somewhere, nothing fancy.

I fitted a pair on sat and wasn't happy putting loads of washers as spacers, so I filed the Ali spacer a bit and used that with one thinner washer.



This sets mine level.

Word of warning you will need to open the spring a bit to fit over the mounting others you will scratch it and it doesn't fit... The right hand side I didn't scratch....

mine are long sold now, but when i fitted the i found the instructions a bit vague. so i looked at the photo on the NN site and all became clear.

Yep I can help with a brochure scan if you send me a PM with email address. I couldn't believe I still had it until I took the Fastaways off in prep for replacing the GS with GSA this week. Not decided yet whether to use them on the GSA or sell them.
