That not good, I bet you have no trust in the bike now.
Being a year old now, is there no chance of still rejecting it ???

Did the 1250 have any problems like this when it first came on the market ?

Not a good read!
Im currently looking at used r1300gs and s1000xr.
Got to wonder at the quantity of electronics, sensors etc on these bikes and wonder if adaptive cruise, emergency braking, new height adjustable suspension are main culprits: I had a Toyota that was always throwing faults due to collision sensors, KTM electronic suspension seems to be the cause of many headaches alongside all the other dash warnings/failures.
Does the bike have the Li battery? Curious as many have found the KTMs to be very voltage sensitive and any drop in battery performance seemingly linking to a list of errors.

Hope you get it sorted, but don’t hold your breath.

Shocking. I feel for you. Very poor from BMW.

@Easy_Rider - I had one of the first 1250’s in the UK and yes, it was the same. Full of problems and constantly at the dealership. So much so that when I asked to trade it in, they were very sympathetic and gave me a whacking great discount as a result. The second 1250, 3 years later, has been flawless with the exception of the battery dying and ruining a trip to Holland.

With my current 1250 on extended warranty and 25k miles on it, I would like to replace it but I cannot find a bike I want more than the 1250. I think both flavours of the 1300 are absolutely shite, the KTM Super Duke will be unreliable, the Multistrada is like sitting above a wood burner and I can’t think of a bike that is better than mine!

First world problem but I feel a little disenfranchised. Am sticking with the 1250 for at least the next year I reckon.

But apart from all that, it's ok!
Shocking.

I’ve posted this fault list because I compiled it to send to BMW UK. I have said I want it fixing with one last opportunity before I want my money back or a new similarly equipped bike as a replacement.

Interesting Barry. Would you be willing to share details?Privately

Which dealer?

Do you use a battery charger?

Sounds like something more than software is amiss. Mines October 2023 with adaptive cruise and no ride height option, over 7500 miles and been fine, no on screen electrical gremlins. Hopefully you get a good outcome.

Very similar experience..I had mine replaced.

Barry
Similar experience when the 1200LC came out. 2013 replaced, 2014 replaced. Both rejections went smooth, no lawyers. Keep it professional, be calm. On my third bike I got a crazy deal from BMW UK.
In total had 4 GS bikes, last one was the 2019 1250 engine model. Loved the bikes and the 1250 is reliable, never had any problems. I have now an 1250RS. From my experience, the more gadgets you have the more problems will have. Present bike is standard model.

Sounds great
Must buy a 1300 GS in 2025

The question’s already been asked above, but many of those issues may stem from battery voltage irregularities?
DAMHIK…

Bought from one dealer 40 miles away as they had the bike I wanted. My local dealer is a lot nearer.

Bike is kept on bmw charger when at home.

Last plug in at dealers said TFT not communicating with another component, I didn’t catch the name of.
