Faulty Auxiliary Light

I noticed today that my offside auxiliary light isn't working (LED type).
The bike is a 2018 (March) R1200 GSA Rallye TE.

Hopefully it'll be covered by the warranty, but is there anything I should check first before contacting them?
Has anybody had one successfully replaced under warranty?

Yes, I've had a quick check, not pulled it out, but it seems to be firmly home.
I did try pulling it out (whilst lifting the retaining tab to the side), but it wouldn't budge, I need to look at it again to see if there is anything else holding it.

They are a bit fiddly to get apart, and the seal can make them tight, but worth checking and greasing. You can check power at the plug, but may need something like a paper clip to push into the plug to touch the connector, as the hole is too small for most test meter probes.

It is under warranty better let them fix it or change it, otherwise they could blame you for opening it, and even if it is not much at least it will be logged for warranty later or goodwill.

just had mine replaced under warranty it was working on and off intermittently something to do with the wiring loom to Aux light but replaced no problem

It is under warranty better let them fix it or change it, otherwise they could blame you for opening it, and even if it is not much at least it will be logged for warranty later or goodwill.

I wouldn’t do a 140 mile round trip to my dealer for a light out without first checking the basics, such as is it connected correctly. The plug could just be held in by the seal. But unless you disconnect it and reconnect it, you will never know. It’s not as if it involves stripping anything down. It is just a plug on the back of a light, mounted on a crash bar!

But unless you disconnect it and reconnect it, you will never know. It’s not as if it involves stripping anything down. It is just a plug on the back of a light, mounted on a crash bar!

Clue is in opening it obviously even Nutty would be able to check a loose cable hopefully.

Fortunately, I don't have as far to go and I can take a scenic route there and back
I have checked the connector already, everything looks OK, and dry, though one of the two clips that hold it in place was missing, though it is firmly in place so it's not that.

Well, I took the bike to the dealers today, apparently a tie-wrap has worn through the wiring loom for the offside auxiliary light. Replacement loom on order for fitting tomorrow.
