I'm just ordering the parts to change my clutch this weekend. I've noticed that some people reference changing the felt seal on the clutch push rod. Is this a necessary thing to do? (1997 R1100GS)

I dont know 1100's but my 99 1150 didnt have one, they came later:beer:

If you're going to the not inconsiderable trouble of spending a day changing the clutch, it would be a shame not to change any seals, bearings, or other cheap(Ish) parts that may need replacing in the next 50,000 miles while it's in bits and they're easily accessible?

Only my opinion of course...

You know I used to think like that, but recently I've heard several people say if the seals look good and aren't leaking leave them alone.
