Hi, I'm on a tour in Scotland and I've got a leak from the final drive output seal, It started off being wet under the housing but now it's leaving a bit of oil on the wheel and sidewall of the tyre.
It's a 2018 GSA, I tried calling Edinburgh and Glasgow Motorrad in the hope they'd have a look, but neither had a seal. As I don't know how much I'm losing, I'm just putting in 50ml each morning (it would be easier if it was a like a car diff with regards to filling)
When I get back on Sunday I need to change the seal but I'm struggling to fi d any decent information, other than, prize off the cover, use to screws to pull out the old seal and drive in a new one. Do I need to remove the final drive, or can it be done with it attached to the swing arm?
If special tools are needed, it'll have to go to a local independent. There are a couple near Swansea I trust.
