We are attempting to plan an economy trip to see the Northern Lights from the heights of Norway. However we've just checked the ferry prices and Gosh! how expensive. Can anybody help us out with a cheap ferry crossing route?

you might want to get POG to book them, the man has uncanny powers.....:thumb

(give him a PM, he'll give you a few clues....;))

Looks like there are no longer any ferry operators between the UK to Norway. To get to Bergan its Newcastle to Denmark, followed by a 750 mile ride over the bridge, through Sweden etc or another ferry from Denmark to Oslo. A life line may be the following link suggested by GeorgeH

Its expensive and it reads as if there are only a dozen or so cabins per crossing, so early booking will be essential.
