Help, stupid question, new GS with spokes. Tried to fill front tyre - how the hell do u get the garage pump on to our valves? Some trick I'm not aware of?

Do you have tyre pressure sensors fitted as standard? Don't bend the valve stem too much as you might end up with a hefty bill. Get your own tyre pump from Halfrauds.
 
Thanks again, off to H'fords tomorrow pending the arrival of the valve extension from Nippy's.
 
Buy a 12v mini compressor and you can then do it yourself wherever you are.
 
same problem with my Banneville, funny cos as a kid all my bikes had spoked wheels and never experience that problem. Maybe the fittings at petrol stations are dfferent these days.
 
Careful, those valves used with the BMW Tyre Pressure Sensors are made of cheese. They snap so easily.

I snapped one undoing the valve cap....

...and BMW are c*nts warrantying them.

The words are as follows "not fit for purpose"...
 
If you haven't got pressure sensors have a couple of these fitted - cheap to buy and makes checking a doddle.
