It’s a new one for me.. an 1150ADV came in with the rear wheel wobbling around, and I mean really wobbling around. First thought was final drive bearing collapsed, but no oil was leaking. Got hold of rear wheel and the whole final drive was moving from side to side dramatically. It was ridden in, I think another half mile and the final drive and rear wheel would’ve broken away from the swingarm Finally started work on it today. Had to cut around the L/H pivot pin as totally seized. Right one came off but the pivot was snapped off and still stuck in the final drive… lots of other seized nuts and bolts on other parts as I removed the necessary bits to get the swingarm off. Anyway, the cause of the problem was someone had fitted the alternative final drive pinion bushes instead of the usual bearings. They’d dried out, seized and broken off the pivot on the pivot bolts, oh, and the shaft was also fucked.. now waiting for all the many parts needed to reassemble the bike, but managed to save the final drive, much to the relief of the owners wallet
