Final Drive Fitting

Will be refitting the final drive sometime soon to my 89 R100GS .. just wondering if anyone has a trick for lining up the splines and U/J joint.
Seem to remember last time I did it twas a nightmare.
Any help appreciated

I found swearing at it helped.

Let’s see if this helps,this is how I do it.
Lower torque arm bolt fitted to support the unit.
Hang the fd with a strap.
Fit 2x wheel bolts
Offer unit up ,I get a long screwdriver through the rh trunnion fixing to lift and manipulate the propshaft so it’s level while lifting the drive in and up,then rotate the drive using the bolts previously fitted.
A huge sense of satisfaction as the prop engages and the unit lifts.
