Yeah motorcycles are supposed to free us from neurosis. People are so stressed. Just as an addendum to this post I found out that from 2010 (most....there was an overlap) onwards most gs had no inner seal on the final drive. This means that the main bearing runs in oil. This might mean that post 2010 bikes have an wet main bearing as opposed to a sealed one.

I know it's kinda nerdy but its nice to know what's in the internals. Even if you don't fiddle with them.

Keep am eye on that final drive breather as if it falls out ...... As mine did.....it will mean game over for your final drive ( if you don't notice).

Keep enjoying this big characterful beast and stop stressing about pointless shit.
