Ok so I've got a 2012 pre loved triple black and generally been tinkering with it and going thro it over winter and generally just enjoying it.
Anyway thought it was about time I familiarised myself with the drive shaft and give it a thorough inspection so read the Haynes, watched a few poo tube clips and generally read thro what I could find on here.
Not a troublesome job really, everything looks clean and no play so greased the splines and the rubber boots and put it all back together.
The result of my efforts is that although it's all tickety boo I now frigging hate the front rubber boot with a passion I normally reserve for when your thumb goes thro the shit role when taking a dump. What a sod to get the front boot back on without fetching the plastic clip off from inside it. Those who have done it will know what I mean but for those who've yet to tackle it, just enjoy the euphoria when it finally pops back in and you stop crying
