Grizzly.....If yours is an 07, then the FD I have will fit; just make sure that the bike was manufactured post Aug 06. I will pm you with the FD part numbers etc.

I have French road tar all over the back of my GS since my Pyrenhees road trip in September. I was planning on cleaning it off one day this winter but since my FD is apparently knacked getting it overhauled will take precedence.

FD bearings knacked at 15k miles but I've yet to check the play for myself.

Mine was knackered at 14k.....

For some strange reason, I cannot PM you. Nevertheless, details of the FD, which is as new and never been used........are as follows:

Markings on the case:

K2/1 7695344

BA53. 06. 8-06

31/11 (gear ratio)

The BMW part number is: 33118521838

It fits GS/GSA built between Aug 06 and Aug 08 and thus has the slightly bigger ABS sensor and no drain plug.

This FD includes the sensor, wiring and the hub....and really is absolutely unmarked.

New cost from BMW £895.84 + VAT

I paid £350 from a fellow tosser, and think that a very reasonable price, so would pass it on for the same.

It was originally bought as a spare for an exped, but never used....

And replied to. A lousy time of year to have problems, but ho hum.......it would appear that GSs are by no means bulletproof.
