Hardly used R1300GSA up for sale soon then :D

Been out on mine again today, adjusted the suspension to suit my weight etc and lowered the gear lever a spline or two. Fits and rides perfect for me now. Got caught out in the rain today and soon realised how easy it is to spin up the rear with the Anakee Wilds on it. No dramas though, put a grin on my face. The more I ride it and get used to how different it is to my GSA the more I like it..
Crash bars, Wunderlich hand guards, Nav bracket and shorter levers hopefully coming this week. Looking forward to the farkling😊

Good to hear . Yes the tyres will have poor grip in the wet , but take it easy and should be ok as they wear in .keep nipping out on mine any excuse . The other bikes are just sitting there at the moment. It’s a great bike

Crash bars, handguards and short levers fitted. New bars, bar pad, nav bracket and screen all on order and hoping to arrive next week.. Getting there!!19173265-4543-4F99-ABF0-66DD8CCE44F9_1_102_o.jpeg5F1614F5-1C99-4CF5-8FEE-F940F18DE6C5_1_102_o.jpeg5B41536A-726D-4F56-96B4-8CD13D0FD679_1_102_o.jpeg19173265-4543-4F99-ABF0-66DD8CCE44F9_1_102_o.jpeg5F1614F5-1C99-4CF5-8FEE-F940F18DE6C5_1_102_o.jpeg5B41536A-726D-4F56-96B4-8CD13D0FD679_1_102_o.jpeg

What difference does the Rallye fairing make, is it worth it?

TBH I have nothing to compare it to as it was fitted when i collected the bike.. However, all the reviews I've read suggest it's an improvement of the standard fairing..
The first test for me on any screen is stand on the pegs and decide if the noise around your head decreases.
I have the standard unit and pleased to note there is little change in wind noise (i am 6ft)
Having had my fair share of bikes with screens that create turbulence around head level I sit in the small screen fan club. I dislike extra noise over a reduction in wind pressure.
That is not to say the rallye screen doesn't work, it may be possible to improve wind protection without notable addition noise.
Yes big screens work, the GSA I had worked very well but riding a lot in hot weather it was counter productive.
Wonder if Adrian Newey could design a mid height screen that creates no head noise 🤔

I’ve had experience with regular an the “rally” front ends.

I think the rally front end moved the airflow up a bit and added some noise. Not turbulence, just noise. I’ll swap back to lower screen for a bit and see how that goes. Gut feeling is original screen is quieter, for my height and helmet.

If you intend to install the nav mount bars, rally screen covers that up nicely.

I’m 198cm so relatively tall.

It does indeed…IMG_1539.jpeg

Tidy rack 👍. Which I bet is also handy when manoeuvring the bike about in a tight space.
I didn't go for a rack, just ppf'd the rear plastic and added 2 extra tie down points so a Kregia straps directly between my soft Panniers.
The downside to this is the tail light is set far back and could be obscured if the Kregia not well stuffed. Not sure why they chose to fit the light so far back.

I wouldn’t normally have fitter a rear rack to the bike as I prefer the clean look. However after a close call with a couple of scumbags testing the steering lock a week after I picked the bike up at work I bought a Hiplok which isn’t light. The Hiplok fits nicely in the Kriega bag now and the rack keeps it away from the paint and rear light…
