I know a few of you have been following this build over on ADVrider, so I thought I'd share the end result - I'm well chuffed with how it's turned out.

Having seen this in the metal at The Ace last weekend, I can only say one thing ->

I love the leather saddle bag as well, stunningly made :thumb

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.................best bike I've seen for ages

If only Honda would build something like that, there would be a riot

That's fantastic. I've got a mate who'll drool over that too. Can I ask roughly how much it cost to put together? Any mods to the motor? Have to say the only thing I don't like is the the leather saddle bag, put apart from that - an absolute stunner and I bet supremely capable :thumb

got an adv link ?

Not a standalone thread as it's all in the Africa Twin section - but you can see the progression in my smugmug build album.

The handbag is my nod to history, as it's a perfect copy (borrowed an original one) of a Dakar toolbag as used in the 80's

All in probably approaching £6K on top of the original bike - it's all the details that aren't obvious that take the time and money.

SPOT THE DIFFERENCE..........:D:D:D:D:D

That has to be one of the best looking bikes seen on here in years! If I gave you 6K would you do one for me?

I preferred it as it was. :D

JOKING...it looks fab mate,well done. :thumb2

Have you had any grief over those reflectors between the characters on the number plate ?
You`d have been tugged for that around here or in Welsh North Wales.

Love the leather tailpack....perfect for storing polish and dusters. :D :D

Congratulations and well done, it looks superb. The only bit I don't like is the leather bag that everyone else seems to like, but it's not like it spoils it or anything, just not my cuppa.

I'm sure you will enjoy it for many miles (without any breakdowns either ;)).

Here's my pic from the Ace. Probably should have used a polar filter to kill some of the reflections, but that's hindsight for you. :augie
