As for the filter question, save your money and dump the filters, the petrol taps have perfectly good filters fitted, and don't need these aftermarket eyesores fitted at all.

Personally I'd always have in line filters fitted, the fuel tap filters in a number of tanks I've worked have been damaged, or been removed all together, at least with an in line filter you can see whats going on, personal choice of course.
