New siebenrock 1070 kit

Bike hasn't run for at least three years, but fired up first time.

Brand new speedo/instruments, in KPH because the bike is going to europe.

Sounds lovely at tick over and a blip of the throttle but it'd drive me nuts on a run - far too loud, ain't no packing in them cans

I've not been down that route myself yet. But have debated it a number of times with my 90S (I haven't though because I haven't repainted anything, and as such would look odd). It basically requires a full strip of the casings/parts which would be blasted (many different approaches and finishes in this regard: vapour, soda, walnut shells etc etc). I've read accounts of people not stripping down, but seems a tad risky to me. Depending on the particular blasting route taken, from the little research I've undertaken there are many suppliers out there. Cost I'm not sure of though I'm afraid.

It's a customers bike. He just wanted it running, and in good mechanical health not a total restro job.
