Firefox functionality?

Does anyone know if using Firefox as a browser causes some loss of functionality? For example, if I try to post a hyperlink with a descriptive word (such as Linky here) I get as far as the box to enter the web address then it all disappears?
And if I try to construct a poll, I click on the relevant button but nothing happens.

Just wondering if this is a Firefox problem or a user problem? If it's a Firefox problem, any fixes?

I used to get various similar problems here with the old bulletin board software (as did others from threads here as well) but since we went onto 3.6.4 I've not had anything that's not working :nenau

Make sure you have the latest Firefox (2.0.0.1) and that you have allowed this site for popups etc.......

PS it does work differently....for the URL for example, if I click the URL button, I get a box to paste the address into then it plonks it on the screen with the second bit (the text to show as the link) highlighted, then you have to change it......it didn't use to happen like that.

Best way with that is type the text unedited, then highlight the section you want to form the link and then click the url button and paste in the address.
