Anyone used Firefox racing in Keighley, West Yorkshire for an ESA rebuild?
Mine needs looking at as zero damping.

Yes, when I had my 2013 LC and the rear ESA started leaking oil with the subsequent loss of damping, I dropped mine off in person and just over a week later got it back repaired and all good. Cost me £250. Mine had about 26k miles on it and they told me they do loads of these, some with as little as 14k miles.
I did do the removal and installation myself, so that was the total cost. Much cheaper than the BMW robbers!

I did, front in 2018 and rear in 2019. no problems. Replaced the shaft on the rear as it was pitted.

yes i have also used firefox ,no problems as said its about £250 for a rear esa

mine on a 2009 gs went at 17k. firefox did a good job for about £220 all in. it went to 33k in my hands with no further problems.

Just got mine back (front and rear) from Denzo, excellent job, quick turn around.

if you know and or have spoken to Denzo, you'd avoid firefox. They just cut the plug off the esa unit and then re join it. They also use too large washers which will leak in time. He removes the unit using a special tool and reconnects plug without the cutting/splicing effort. He showed me their work versus his. Firefox often send their repairs to him when the esa units fail...:)

Where do they cut the plug off because mine certainly had no spliced wire that I could see.

Had a new YSS shock from Firefox for an airhead. 2k miles and leaking, Firefox said it was out of time warranty and nothing they could do except sell me a new one.
Sent it to Denz0 and he quickly sorted it at a fraction of the new cost.

Thanks to everyone for their help, I sent my shock and forks (2015 S1000XR) off to Denz0 & what a transformation!
Fully rebuilt, ungraded and resprung for my weight/riding, I hadn't realised how bad the suspension had become.
