I've searched, both here and on Mozilla help pages, and I've gone through all the settings in about:config, but i still cant's find the way to make the reply window wider.....IIRC, I even started a thread about it here a long while back...buggered if i can find it though :(

There's an easy way of doing it......anyone know/remember?

The up and down arrows in the top right hand corner of the reply are make the reply box deeper, but I need it wider for something I'm doing :)

TIA

Don't think you can make it wider as it is scaled to fit within a small resolution screen. Would need a reprogram on the server side I'd say. Makes no matter once you preview your post though. :nenau

It was either you or the giant leprechaun from over the water. I remember the post, but not the solution.

I'm pretty sure it was me Steve...Iremember going into about:config and changing some parameters there, or certainly within the guts of firefox anyway.

GSwadd....IIRC, its done by assigning a value, rather than the % or 'auto' as it probably is now.....I just cant find out how to do it (indeed, it may not be poss with this later version)

I certainly remember fekking about with it several times as shortly afterwards I changed monitors and had to resize again.

I can't believe such a simple thing isn't possible....though I have found several vBullettin hacks that I might ask BHT to have a look at possibly.

when you're doing a long ride report with lots of photos, and you do it in a certain way (in my case, cutting and pasting a long list of URLS then switching views frequently to see them as pics) it would be very useful to have the box the size i want it
