Well sat here in the South of France and it's lashing it down with a generous wind blowing so feeling naffed off, to say the least, especially when i see the weather back in the UK. :(

So to cheer myself up i started looking at some photies from last summer and decided to post one particular day from september 2010.

We kept the trail bikes in the trailer as the garage was in disrepair first pic. Prepared and ready to go -

From our home we can enter the massif and its hundreds of kilometres of fire-trails without crossing tarmac, so it wasn't long before we were taking pictures as it really is beautiful around here and it was her ladyships first time off-road.

Took a couple of video's but cant seem to upload, so i will continue with the stills.

To continue, picnic spot looking across the valley where you can see our exit route climbing up the other side.
Picture two where has the bridge gone ? We were faced with a three foot drop into the riverbed and a climb out the other side or a long detour.[tossers and their wives dont do detours].

She battled away despite and despite the terrible scenery continued to smile.

Hurray the sun is shining

Monday and the sun came out so we retraced our steps first of all by checking out that bridge 6 months later and it has been rebuilt [ we call this level of repair " artisan" ]

The camera cannot reveal the true colours of this wilderness but we still try.

The natural beauty is spectacular and each corner we take and each hill we crest brings something different even surprising [ I have a thing about old wrecks, i used to dream of restoring them but since becoming one myself i am aware that i probably never will ]

Five hours in the saddle not including a picnic lunch and it seemed like no time at all i think that says it all.
:D:D
