First impressions of my GS1300

Ive not got many, if at all ANY gripes on my 1300, it feels agile to me and at 6'2 I am very comfortable on it, ive got used to the riding position the knees were a smidge tighter than I expected at first but I don't notice now. One small criticism is the front brake is feeling a bit soft. The rider seat was swapped out as the canvass had rippled, sounds like they have had a few others already. What I did notice is the swapped out standard seat feels ever so slightly taller, less scooped....weird.

I have had a couple of water-cooled GSA1200s, in my own opinion they are a big lump.

Ive scrapped the bmw navigator 6 option and got a zumo xt with the wunderlich powered adaptor which I am liking a lot (not fussed for that wheel thing) although it loses the security function on it, and the adaptor is permanently fixed to the nav unit as crosshead screws involved in fitting.

Same here, mine starts easily every time at the first revolution of the motor but it does sound weak as it cranks, strange :cautious:
Yes I have had that and the message stated wait to save the battery or similar . I found that a positive press of the started seems to stop it , the 1250 was different, you only had to touch it and it fired . Maybe it’s new stroke that makes initial fire up a punch rather than a tickle if you know what I mean 🙃 only seems to happen now if I don’t do the above .

I hope this isn't the high tension leads from the battery being under specced. Had the same problem on an early MTS AND UPGRADING THE LEADS WAS THE SOLUTION.
