First Impressions

Hi all,
i picked up my 1100gs on Saturday. I had a 340 mile ride home. Been for a 50 run on local roads tonight.
First impressions,
heavy, but hard to tell when your on the move.
Comfortable
Nice riding position
Excellent aftermarket screen, no need to put the visor down.
Clunky gearbox, well there's a surprise
Torquey
Turns quickly.
Doesn't appreciate traffic jams, high first gear!!
I think it is a great mileater,
at the moment though to be honest i'm not convinced it is the bike for me, but it's early days.
Barnstorming machine in the right application.
How people take these offroad i'll never know!!!.

high 1st gear, try a 1150gs, its worse
give it a few weeks, u may grow into it, ul be changin the seat tho if u start doin 500 miles plus

500 miles, you got to be kidding, 340 would be tops for me in a day!! Unless need arises

thats what i said till i got one, these things grow on you, its the 1st bike iv actually looked forward to riding hundreds of miles
bulgaria last year, norway or russia next year

I don't get it,ok if you want to circumnavigate to world.
Surely you miss so much! Understandable if you want to get to a country a long way away to your first country!!
