My rt calved on the way home tonight. Thought some blighter spiled diesel on the road outside my house. Had a bit of a monemt turning into my drive rode down drive turned bike switch off hop off open garage turn round to see a large pool of oil under bike. Get some old newspaper and see that the oil is pissing out somewhare from the sump. Ring Mondail and bike will be collected tomorrow. I only have it 4 weeks. Went from a 12gsa to a f800st which I found to be a cracking bike but I like a BIG machine so I choped in the st for the rt. Just filled it on the way home 52mpg.

i got one. best bm ever built for long distance riding, in fact this one is my ninth normaly do 25,000 a year when not off roading . had them all its unrivalled in every waynothing comes close you soon find that out when you ride with oher bikes, and you dont have to wear white moto x boots to ride them !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here we are. Me and my RT. 06 Model. 64,000 kms of smiles so far.
I like reading about everything GS related but prefer to ride an RT.
Having said that I'm renting a GS ADV for a week in Andalucia in early October. Will be I be converted by the time I get back? We'll see.

I'd like an R1200RT but that would mean me having to give up my GSA

Having rode GS's for a number of years and fancy a change I thought I would go for a RT, 10 months ago.
Well Its a great bike and having travelled all over Eroupe and Norway this year Its a fanstatic tourer..................Yes I still look at "GS's" and ask myself have I made the right decision, but I had to try it.
Its been 100% reliable and really economical and handles remarkably well for its size.

Nice bike
I had an 1150RT for a while, ridiculously comfy and capable bike. If work picks up, a new bike may be on the cards for 2011 and a 1200RT will be on the list to test ride.
