Can anybody please give me a definitive answer with respect to the content of the first service. (600 mile).

Thanks

Thanks. That was my reason for asking really. Does the final drive oil get changed... Or not?

yep ! oil change with filter wipe over with duster charge £130 is sounds about right

bmw want people that know nothing about bike's i.e. managing directors ect to buy top of range bikes that don't do any mileage that are mind set into changing their bikes within the warranty period and keep spending money , sorry but its true 90% of you don't even have a idea what these bikes can do !!!! get on and stop looking at the next model and ride it lol i have three 1200 2010 gs r1100rt r1100gs and that later will give any later water cooled a right seeing off!!

£97, Oil / Filter / FD Oil, wipe over and tighten a few nuts and bolts on mine.

Don't forget it also includes one of these to play on whilst it's in.

Get mine back later...:D

Got bike back. The gearbox is brilliant. Absolutely no clashing or crunching and neutral is a peach. Totally different from my 13 one.
Very happy now! B-)

Please tell me that the R was a bag of shite.:comfort

Ha! It's nice. The gs feels quicker up to 80mph. After that no contest and the r is simply brilliant. Absolutely brilliant suspension, brakes feel nice but nothing made be think I would want it over the gs. My hands and wrists hurt after an hour.

Also nutty, got my alarm fob today too! Totally didn't need it but wanted it so I had it!!!

I'm glad the R is rubbish (I keep telling myself that :D), and can understand about the wrist ache. My bike is in next Saturday for a service, so I'll see if I can get a go on one.

The alarm fob should be included with the alarm, but it's worth getting.:thumb
