OK, so I did a test run last night, about 50 miles, which is mainly hard packed rutted mud and sandy tracks. I have to say I'm very impressed with the bike it makes a great trail tool. I took it easy as the bike is still running in but everythign seems sweet so far!

Couple of things:

1) A few times it didnt seem to want to shift into 4 or 5th very easily, I sort of put it down to being new and or the fact that it has the "different" clutch! It took a real hard push of my boot to get it to hook up. Anyone else had this problem?

2) I setup the suspention as per the guide on here. It seems pretty good except the back end was kicking up when travelling through a series of bumps, I think I should add more rebound damping on the rear, what do you think?

cheers

Can't help on the suspension question but my bike needs quite a firm boot to change up, it seems like the lever needs quite a lot of travel though the changes are smooth enough.

Interesting, funny thing is it only seems to be 4th and 5th and it only seemed to happen yesterday after chaning the oil. I'll maybe move the lever down a bit and try again tonight

Not sure if you have had any stalling issues, but if you do, just turn the idle up a bit. also you may be aware that the reserve is very little on these bikes, if you see fuel come up on the dash then you are probably too late!!!

Never had any issues with mine re the gears.

I had my suspension set up by Dr Shocks - 'revalve' improved the front a whole bunch - much smoother. Had to tune the rebound down on the rear though to prevent loco pogo when going up bumpy hills (this bike just loves to climb) under heavy power... and noting I ant the best rider in the pack.

Other advice... ...I still race mine at only 40HP. Thats plenty for me and it's easier on the motor - I dont worry about overstressing it with gobs of throttle and I dont need a 70 hour major rebuild. Unless you need the power, I suggest keeping the plug out. However, standard exhaust chokes an otherwise lovely motor - aftermarket is the way to go. Get a full system with a fat header if you want improved low rev torque and more 'snap'.

For a race bike compared to others, its very trouble free.

Seems to be a boot/operator error. I moved the lever a bit as it was resting on my foot. Did 140 miles with no problems now :blast
