First time fording and a head on collision photos

Been out for my first ford ride today on my own.Downloaded Mouses excellent ford database and chose a few local ones to try

Waded in to check it out first about 40cm deep, pebble bottom and a bit slippy.Got half way over bike started to sink and spin had to give it a big handfull of throttle to get out :D

Head on collision

With a pheasant at 70 mph it flew straight into the screen and brush guard nearly s**t myself :eek:

Brush guard flew off 'bloody and feathers everywhere.No real damage the screen was pushed back on the tobinators into my 2610 :(

Harley riders

Stopped to see if i was ok :thumb Had an excellent afternoon exploring the roads on my doorstep most of these were new to me.Can't wait til next weekend :clap

Next time get a tripod and timed release to pic yourself going through the fords :thumb

Did think about that before i went out was going to stick it on top of 2610 glad i never now.Hopefully get some friends to come the next :)

Credit where credit's due - it's actually Lee Chapman's excellent ford database (from http://www.wetroads.co.uk/ ), I just converted the data for MapSource :)

Nice photos! Some proper green lanes there, get yourself some TKCs and start exploring :D

Got the TKC's ready in the shed still got to sort the path out before they go back on then i can have some real fun :D
