First time on Le shuttle, any tips?

I think it is a stupid idea to have bikes parked the way the do. I think there’s less risk in bike going over if it is was to be parked in the direction of travel with front wheel straight, on a side stand and in 1st gear.

After all not man have come off their bikes traveling in a straight line and doing emergency stop, however plenty have slid across the road or have been high sides of their bike when applying emergency braking procedure when breaking hard in the bend.

Just my thinking.
Just came back on the Shuttle on Thursday. Rather than point the bike to the left 'kerb' and put it on the side stand, they now tell you to point it at the right 'kerb'. Apparently they've had some bikes tip over when the train is slowing down towards the end of the journey (and probably lawsuits as a result) - I guess this is now less likely as the bikes are braced against the side stand in that situation. But they look less stable as the wheel is not fully turned and locked.

Defo avoid the middle gutter thing covered by loose shiny tin coverings...

Tip, take a spring loaded clothes peg. You can then clip your boarding pass to your windshiled.

Let us know how you get on with the new checking in procedure,I’m hoping to go later in the month .
