hi all - coming back to this and change of plan, going to just stick to the north for this first trip. Try not to do too much. Going to make my way around the coast anticlockwise and end up in Galway. One question, best route and overnight stop from Galway back to Larne? I don't want to do Galway - Larne - ferry - Edinburgh in one day. Thanks

Galway - Carrick on Shannon - Ballinamore - then the R202, R200 & R206 to Blacklion. Cross into N.Ireland, Belcoo - Enniskillen- Tamlaght- Gola Road to Lisnaskea - Fivemiletown- Clogher - Augher - Aughnacloy - Benburb - Moy - Stewartstown - Coagh - Toome - Randalstown - Kells(Co Antrim) - Moorfields & the A36 down to Larne. - Link these together & it should be a decent enough route.
