12% over 28 years is very good. It can be as much as 2% per year.
There is no "formula" as such for the angels share, too many variables.
Temperature/humidity/the cask/the thirst of the warehouse staff

Our whisky is matured in ex-sherry casks. It would no doubt be possible to make a container the angels couldn't get into, but you wouldn't get anything like the same result.

Of particular note is the fact that the cask was filled on 16 November 1987. It is 27 years old on Sunday!! It is its birthday!! Now the last 27 year old I had was some while ago....but that also was memorable. We must celebrate!!! Party!!
