It was real easy to do, just whip the exhaust can off, seat off and undo the top and bottom bolts. remove the tie wraps from the left side of teh mudgaurd by the shocker to allow you to get the old shocker out and the new one in. The damping adjustment sits on the left hand side.
One thing I never realised before was just how light the Air shock actually is compared to the Ohlin and any other standard shock. BMW never mentioned that.
Anyway with the new shock fitted the rise is just so different, not as bouncy and handles a bit better on the road.
The down side is that I can hardly touch the floor again
, this will be interesting offroad when I need to dab a foot down - anyway we'll find out at the weekend Bakerville off road ride out - can't wait.
Oh bythe way I put a new set of Karoo(T)'s on this morning. They are great for the road but have very minimal depth of tread compared to other kobblies I've had. Reports so far from others are that they are awful off road but thats all they had (see my other tyre thread).
Have Fun
