Hi, I am going to fit a beak extender from motorworks, when I am fitting it, does the paintwork of the original beak need to be protected from the extender rubbing on it during use?

Al.

Shouldn't rub once its fastened on properly.. Chances are it'll stay on for the life of the bike anyway :thumb2

My GSA extender has marked the paint underneath the rubber pads. Its no big deal because it's always on the bike but they can rub.

If you are concerned put helicopter tape (or even plain PVC tape) under the area to be covered by the extender.
